Decluttered The Book

Decluttered:

Mindful Organizing for
Health, Home, and Beyond

Do you find yourself constantly rearranging your pantry containers yet still not feeling 'organized enough'?
Are you trying to keep your work documents in order, only to have other tasks demand  your attention?
And do you long for a clutter-free home, free from unwanted items “gifted” to you from other people?

You are not alone.

Decluttered: Mindful Organizing for Health, Home, and Beyond
by Jenny Albertini addresses the underlying causes of clutter and provides readers with actionable steps to lead a joyful life. Coming from a public health expert who spent over two decades designing health initiatives around the world, this book is a mindful exploration of how and why clutter manifests in our lives.

Albertini teaches her signature decluttering process with empathy, honoring how clutter
can go beyond “the stuff” and also manifest negatively in our relationships, health, and everyday lives.

By blending stories and science with writing prompts and creative exercises, Decluttered motivates readers to reevaluate their connection to the environments where they spend time, providing clear steps to enhance their lives, inside and out. From her experiences as a public health practitioner in African clinics to her mentorship under Marie Kondo, Jenny shares personal insights and research-based evidence to help people understand the habits, beliefs, and circumstances that can cause stagnation, disorder, and imbalance.

Drawing from her uplifting interactions with clientele during her career as a professional organizer, Decluttered will guide you toward paying closer attention to what really matters – and letting go of what doesn’t.

Get Decluttered!

This is not your typical self-help book.

Decluttered is not:

  • A guide on shelf-styling

  • A list of the best wellness supplements

  • A trick to get your boss to let you work less

All those things sound wonderful, and good sources for those ideas already exist. Instead, this book weaves together a NEW narrative on decluttering, one that is reflexive, proactive, and tailored to your unique circumstances.

Decluttered is:

  • An examination of how the physical and emotional environments in which we spend our time affect our well-being

  • A menu of options to experiment with based on our individual needs and patterns

  • A system grounded in the knowledge of what constrains us and how we can dismantle those boundaries

What is The
Decluttered Approach?

The Decluttered Approach recognizes the impact clutter can have on our
well-being, and can be a product of brain-based or physical health conditions. Sometimes, it is the cause of marital strife, relationship challenges, and family arguments. Clutter is also linked to elevated cortisol levels, increased procrastination, and traumatic life events.

But it doesn’t have to stay like this.

Outlined in Jenny Albertini’s book, Decluttered, this approach draws from her two decades of healthcare experience and professional organizing to map a clutter-free vision for each reader’s future.

This approach:

  • Explores mindfully “how” and “why” clutter manifests for us all

  • Provides writing prompts to turn inward and reduce shame

  • Encourages close observation of the environments around ourselves

  • Transforms experiences and spaces into foundations for healthy, balanced, and intentional living

  • Guides people to address the root causes of clutter with compassion

Readers of Decluttered can find healthy, long-lasting strategies for removing clutter from their personal and professional lives by learning Jenny’s Decluttered Approach.
